My interest in radio started when i was 13yrs old after visiting a friends house and his dad had alot of old ham gear in his garage. 

I was fascinated and soon purchased an Admiralty B40 shortwave receiver.

I enjoyed shortwave listening and it wasn't until some years later i decided to progress (slowly!) to VHF and UHF communications. 

I am very keen on operating on 6 meters and have enjoyed many QSO's on 'the magic band'.

The HF bands have now opened up  many avenues to this fascinating hobby. 

I particularly enjoy contests and data communications.

I have spoken to many hams across the world and i am currently trying to achieve various awards. 

I always like to receive QSL cards and always return using the RSGB

I am a member of the RSGB and the British Amateur Radio Lighthouse Society (number 170).
